Music Lessons Express is proud to present the 2025 Spring Student Recital, held Sunday, April 13,2025. The recital aims to showcase our fantastic students and their dedication to learning. We could not be more excited to see you all there!
In the meantime, here are some helpful tips for ensuring your student has a wonderful recital performance and great stage presence:
Accompaniment
In order to provide the best recital experience for our students, we require students whose pieces require accompaniment to have a live accompanist for the recital (no backing tracks). We recommend that instructors accompany their students whenever possible and assist parents in locating an accompanist when necessary. MLE maintains a list of recommended pianists in the area, but parents are responsible for accompanist fees/scheduling and will work with the accompanist directly. Please make sure your students rehearse with their accompanist at least one of their lessons before the recital so they feel confident and perform their best. Whenever possible, students should rehearse with their accompanist at a lesson before the recital.
Stage Etiquette
Please have your students practice good performance etiquette (playing without stops, ending with a bow, etc.) and stage set-up (i.e. point f-holes at the audience for string instruments, bench set-up for pianists, etc.) Students should make a point to practice performing for family and friends at home before the big day so they feel confident performing.
