The 2025 North Florida Suzuki Students and Instructors!
Our North Florida Suzuki School violin and guitar students kicked off the summer with our annual Pizza Playdown group recital. A “play down” recital, a format unique to Suzuki schools, begins with the most advanced students performing first. With each successive piece, students from earlier levels join in, gradually building the ensemble until all students are on stage together to play “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star,” the quintessential Suzuki starting piece.
This year’s recital was extra special since it was our new Suzuki guitar instructor, Dr. Susana Frade Machado’s first play down with us and because our remote Suzuki guitar teacher, Dr. Ben Lougheed, joined us all the way from Philadelphia. We had so much fun with both graduating students and incoming four and five year olds playing their first recitals- and everyone in between!

Supportive parents, grand parents, siblings, and friends filled our audience!
