MLE owner Brett Wellman recently came across a 1930 C.F. Martin Hawaiian slide guitar. It’s one of only 10 made in 1930.

One of those Cinderella stories of the rare guitar that people owned, not realizing its value, not only monetarily but also historically.

It is extremely rare and has an amazing sound! The guitar was not in good shape, however local luthier Gary Hudson of Folkstone Guitars did an incredible job with restoring it.

Gary fixed the two huge splits in the sides, two cracks on the top, plus he restored the finger board, replaced the bridge and two of the pegs.
